The 580 men and women of the CETE work with local land development professionals. They liaise with other CETEs across the country and with central technical services (Laboratoire Central des Ponts et Chaussées, Service d’Etudes Techniques des Routes

et Autoroutes, Centre d’Etudes sur les Réseaux, les Transports, l’Urbanisme et les Constructions Publiques, etc.). This network, some 8,000 people strong, promotes interaction and mutual enrichment between the experience gained on-site and the latest developments in national and international research.

A local
technical
partner

The CETE Méditerannée is a technical study and engineering centre for all those who play a role in land-use planning: state services, local authorities, parapublic or private agencies. A government agency within the Ministry of Public Works’ scientific and technical network, it offers clients the impartiality and independence of a state-run service. As a local provider, the CETE has, since its creation in 1968, gained in-depth knowledge of its area of operations (Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, Languedoc-Roussillon, Corsica, and some of the French overseas departments and territories).
